Independence Day is just around the corner.
I love Independence day! And it happens to be my favorite holiday of the year; so, of course I like to do a 4th of July table setting. What I don’t want to do is spend a ridiculous amount of money on the décor when I know how much the fireworks are going to cost (it’s crazy expensive now).
I first decided I was going to try to do a 100% thrifted/vintage table setting. Unfortunately, our local thrift stores were pretty bare on anything I would need for a table setting (it was great for other things). So, I tucked my tail and went home and dug through all my stored home décor and found everything I needed already at home! Not only did I find everything, 90% of the items I ended up using were items I had thrifted in the past! How cool is that?
How to make your table like mine?
- Table cloth. A plain white tablecloth like this is great for many occasions.
- Checkered red or blue napkins. Mine were found at a yard sale, but here is an option.
- Plate chargers. This can be a neutral color or you can use a themed charger.
- Vintage map tablecloth. Found this one on Etsy. I’ve had mine for years.
- Metal ice bucket. Again, mine was thrifted, but this one is a great option.
- White plates. I bought these from Amazon probably 4 years ago and we use them every single day.
- Small Flags. These can go in the centerpiece like I did or lay one on the top of the plate or even rest in the wine glass until they’re used.
The last thing to get the look would be using red, white, and blue fruit. Such as, blueberries, strawberries, cherries, watermelon. You know, even tomatoes would look fantastic.
I hope you enjoyed setting the table with me! Make sure to check out some of my other posts and follow me on YouTube.
