On a whim I made a few quick changes to the dining room, and it ended up having quite a big impact. I decided to move the curtains I had in the dining room to the living room, (you can see the full makeover here) which left me no choice but to buy new ones for the dining room. You know how I feel about curtains (if you don’t, go watch this video), I wanted some that would make a statement in the passthrough room. It needed its own personality to match the rest of the space. I can’t remember how exactly, but I stumbled upon these fine block print curtains on Etsy and had to have them.
While waiting for the curtains to arrive, I moved the console table that was in the living room to under the window in the dining room. I styled it with some of my favorite decor books and added David on the windowsill to keep an eye on us all. It fit wonderfully and I wish I would have moved it sooner. That alone made a big impact on the room, so I was pretty pumped to get the curtains in place.
I wasn’t wrong, the curtains, the console, that view… I’m so happy with the little changes. Look at that moody photo. Man, I don’t think I will ever tire of that view.
