Have you ever used an entire week of vacation on a DIY room makeover? Well, I did. It was worth waking up extra early, sleeping in the living room, and pushing myself to the point of exhaustion. Now, we get to go to sleep every night in our cozy space!
After we got the new trim and baseboards added, planks installed, four (yes, I said four) coats of paint on the walls, I could barely wait to get the room styled! Rather I liked it or not, I had to wait anyway. I started really not feeling well, swelling up, and getting extremely ill. After a trip to the ER and a bunch of tests they decided to take out my gallbladder. Since I wasn’t feeling great anyway, I’m glad half of the items were still waiting to be delivered. I don’t know if I could have waited to decorate.
Remember, this is the before of the room. Nothing wrong with it, just not what I wanted.
This is what I wanted.
Some things will change over time. We plan on taking out one of the dressers and building a chest to hold all the extra pillows and blankets. I also have more pegs ordered to continue the pegs along the wall across from the bed. All and all, I am so happy with how this room turned out.
