The Upstairs Bathroom Begins

One of my favorite rooms of our house is the upstairs bathroom. Its not my favorite by how it as now, but how I know it could be! It is clear to me it will need to be gutted and tiled in the next probably 5 or so years, but until then why not have some fun with it?

As you can see, the floors are wood (not ideal for an upstairs bathroom, but still gorgeous) and everything else is white. White on white on white… And the electricity is a little wonky in that some lights/outlets don’t work unless the switch is on. Typical quirky 115 year old house stuff. We will get an electrician in to see what can be done, but for the most part we are going to give this room a full refresh!

Gotta love that pre-surgery belly! Thanks for making me miserable former gallbladder.

See, this room has so much potential, but it rather boring as it. It also gets so much natural light, which I adore, and I don’t want to lose any of it. But I also want my guest to feel like they aren’t giving the animals in the woods a peep show when they are showering. I have plans guys. Really cool plans. I kind of even shocked myself with the choice of paint color, but I think it is just going to work!

If you want to take a guess at the paint color, leave it in the comments! Also, find me on YouTube to watch the transformation of The Ponderosa!

Stay tuned!

XOXOXO

Amber

  1. My guess would be canary yellow or an aquamarine. I know that’s 2 guess but I could see either one with some Spanish designed black & white tile.
